Welcome to Hotel Eagles Nest (and Bo & Sheila)
set in 2 sq k of cedar, oak and rhododendron in the splendid Himalayan foothills (6,808ft/2,042m),overlooking the Kangra and Kullu Valleys and the residence of HH the Dalai Lama amidst his community in exile from Tibet. This unusual, beautiful corner of India has the snowcapped Dhauladhar mountains as its spectacular backdrop - providing stunning views from our garden.
Please Note: to reach Eagles Nest there is a rough track of 15-20minutes from Mcleodganj, and then a 10 minute walk through the forest on a mountain path to reach our land: but don't worry - guides and porters are provided (you can also ride up by horse). This means guests must arrive in the daytime - there are no lights up the track from Mcleodganj and it may be difficult to travel in the dark for the first time. We insist on having guests' telephone numbers to ensure an easy journey and warm welcome. If not there is a surcharge!
