If you’re here to get a sense of just how dreamy and miraculous this part of Himachal really is – enjoying in equal measure the finest views of snow-tipped mountains, a valley spread far beneath your feet, and a warm, homey environment you won’t easily find anywhere else in the state—look no further than Eagles Nest. It’s also reviewed below, but be warned that it’s strictly for those of us who relish getting away from it all, so mall rats can give it a skip.

“It was one of the most memorable vacations we have has so far. The resort location is just mesmerizing, with lovely weather and breathtaking views all around. Mr. Shashi Kant and his team go out of their way to make you feel at home . The hospitality of the entire team from Manager to chef is beyond words. The variety and quality of the food is beyond imagination given the remote location. Hats off to the entire team to have put together such a unique experience. All the very best and looking forward to being back again soon.”

“Serenity and Calm in the mountains!

If you are looking for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life, then look no further. This newly redone property hits just the spot. It’s is quiet and secluded and has some brilliant views of the mountains. The rooms are clean, beautifully done and well equipped. The management is extremely friendly and helpful. They guided us at every step of the way, the chef cooked food to our liking and the staff went out of their way to take care of me when I was a little under the weather. We had a lovely 4 day stay at the hotel and felt like the world had paused. Couldn’t have asked for more. We will definitely recommend this place to all our friends and family looking for a quite getaway! Thank you to Shashi Kant and the entire team at Eagles Nest.”

“I have stayed at some of the best resorts around the world – from the Scottish Highlands to the California Redwood to the Swizz Alps.

But the charm of Eagle Nest, nestled amongst the silver Dhauladhar Range of The Great Himalayas is unmatched. While the untouched beauty has its own appeal, it’s the hospitality of the owners and staff at Eagle Nest that vows you forever. Equipped with all modern facilities (electric blankets, comfortable beds, hot water, well-designed attached bathrooms, aesthetically designed bedrooms, French windows to let the views in) and more (the library or as I liked to call it, the Sun room was my favourite place), this little gem in the woods will stay with us forever, for the way the staff went beyond call of duty to make our stay just perfect. We spent our 5 days here taking walks in the jungle, going for guided hikes, a day trip to

McLeodGanj, picnic breakfasts and lunches overlooking some of the best views ever from their sun-room. Dinners were quiet, simple affairs of home-cooked meals and retiring to our beautiful rooms to snuggle with a book borrowed from their huge library. What was exhilarating to see was how our teens took to the place. Well the strong WIFI helped, but Eagle Nest enchanted these city-born and bred kids who could be seen soaking in the atmosphere and genuinely enjoying the break. Visit Eagle Nest if you genuinely love nature and want to spend some time away from the concrete jungles getting in touch with yourself.”

It’s like living in a dreamland where nature’s beauty knows no bounds!

“As if the cosmos already orchestrated this journey for us beyond our comprehension, I stumbled into this heavenly secret wonderland in the Himalayas, Eagles Nest Dharamshala, when I was scouting places to stay for our retreat earlier this year. It was on the day of Spring Equinox we decided to bring a group to Dharamshala, and now we’ve just completed our Soul Pilgrimage by the Autumn Equinox.

In addition to marveling at the divine orchestration, I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to Eagles Nest and the whole team. Thank you for your hospitality, your attentive services, your excellent food, your warmth, and caring.

Thank you, Eagles Nest, our home in the Himalayas. 🙏✨

“We loved our stay at the hotel. Initially, the hike up seemed long, but it turned out to be just a pleasant 10-minute walk. The hotel is charming, with excellent and attentive staff who went out of their way to make our stay memorable. Shashi, the manager, was always helpful and knowledgeable about the area. He even ensured our safety during our independent outings. We deeply appreciate Shashi and his team’s care.”

“This hotel has provided us with the dreamiest holiday we’ve ever wished for. Situated in the heart of the forest and amidst the Himalayan mountains, we cherished every aspect of our stay. The interiors exuded warmth and coziness, boasting an incredible lobby and a well-stocked reading room. Our room offered breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. Chef Harmeet Singh and his team thoughtfully prepared nutritious and delectable meals. The hospitality of the entire staff, including our server Kabir and trekking guide Sanjeev, was commendable. A special thank you to the hotel manager, Mr. Shashi Kant, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We eagerly anticipate our return to this paradise, highly recommended for mountain enthusiasts. While the road to the hotel presented some challenges due to ongoing construction, it’s a minor inconvenience compared to the immense beauty once you reach the mountains. The hotel assures us that road construction will soon be completed, leading to a smoother journey.”

“We had the most comfortable stay ever. The staff was very warm and looked after every need. The hotel has spectacular views and is a very well-maintained property. The food was delicious and there were lots of local dishes along with a continental menu. The manager, Mr Shashi Kant made sure all our requirements were taken care of and helped us with transport. Highly recommend this place for people who would love to live away from the crowds and have the most beautiful view from the bedroom”
